| Now Playing- WHITE TRASH Dog Pound Hop-1994 |
| I grew up in Woodside, Queens. I've been playing drums as far back as I can remember and have been playing music in the bars and clubs all around the NYC area since i was 12. In 1992 i got a gig playing drums for WHITE TRASH, a band that had signed a deal with Elektra Records a few years earlier and at that time was one of my favorite bands. I played on one full length CD and 1 EP/Maxi Single (Produced by Daniel Rey) and did a bunch of touring around the states. After the band folded i joined an alternative rock band called HALCION. I played on one CD released on the Twitcher label with tracks produced by Martin Bisi as well as J.G Thrilwell (Foetus) and one tour all over the US opening for Foetus. After that tour I decided to concentrate on playing guitar, writing songs and not working a day job. I continued to play drums on a number of recordings and gigs in many different styles including MORTAL REMAINS (Metal) SHEILA NOONAN and ATTAKKU (Latin Rock). Late in 1997 i met guitarist/songwriter Dominic Cromie and fiddle sensation Matt Mancuso and joined their Celtic Rock band RAGLAN ROAD. After the first gig I knew this was the kind of music I wanted to play. Since then, and i hope for the rest of my life, i gig almost every night on either drums or guitar in just about every NYC area Irish Pub. After Raglan Road parted ways in 2002, I started several bands to showcase my songwriting including ALTERnaTRAD, featuring vocalist Susan Wendelken, who is the greatest singer ever to open her mouth. I also play in TRIGGER featuring fiddle player/vocalist Mazz Swift, and SMIRK an all female (except me) band that mixes traditional Irish tunes with the pop tunes you'd least expect to hear "Irished Out". I also play drums with CELTIC CROSS, one of the most well established and respected Irish bands in the US. Please check my schedule and stop by for a drink. |
